How cute! Donald is my favorite because he’s so ornery, but look how happy he is in the last picture!

In two weeks, I’ll be going to Disneyland for the first time! Being a poor child, Disneyland was always some magical place so far out of reach that I knew I’d never get to experience. But I always wanted to get there someday and I’ll be celebrating my 28th birthday in the place I’ve always wanted to see. I know it sounds silly, but going here is pretty special to me.

The people that ask for explanations don’t really want to be informed. If they did, they would take the initiative to learn themselves. It’s your job to remedy your ignorance, not mine to teach you.

NOT HOW IT WORKS. if you wanna tell someone they’re wrong, it’s YOUR JOB to prove them wrong. i don’t see how this is a hard concept to understand.

IT IS YOUR JOB TO SPEAK UP FOR YOURSELF. if you won’t do that, you don’t get to bitch about people being disrespectful toward you, because instead of stating what your boundaries are and how they’re being violated, you’re effectively telling someone to figure them out. guess what, the world isn’t going to walk on eggshells for you. you want people to care about your feelings? give ‘em a goddamn reason. don’t just shout “educate yourself”.

If someone passively says something that I think is offensive and they genuinely don’t understand why it is, I would nicely explain it to them. But if it’s the kind of jerk that just spouts out things that are obviously racist and asks me to give them a history lesson to prove my stance, I am not going to bother. It’s not worth my time.

I’m not asking people to walk on eggshells for me. If someone wants to say things that are super insensitive then I don’t go off and attack them. If someone genuinely doesn’t know better, I don’t start yelling. I just let it go.
